For my HOD internship this semester, I have been working at Calvert Street Group, a political public affairs firm in downtown Nashville. My work throughout the semester has primarily consisted of project research, cold calling, and other administrative work. I have focused my learning goal on improving my ability to speak up and take initiative in the workplace, as well as the challenges that come with this goal as an intern. I have used this blog to discuss and flesh out unique experiences I have had over the course of this semester in which I feel I have been able to develop my learning goal, and further improve my communication skills. I appreciate that I have been able to use this forum to analyze these experiences, and figure out which areas of my professional development I need to continue working on.
